Estimator

Primary Function: The Estimator will review proposal design specifications and engineering drawings to determine scope of projects and prepare portions or full estimates for one or more specific techniques related to specialty foundation construction. Reports to Estimating Manager.Location: Boston Office , Charlestown , MaActivities and Responsibilities:Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work.Attend pre-bid meeting, conduct site visits; attend post-bid meetings and discussnegotiate scope of work.Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.Prepare complete takeoff of scope of work.Assist in developing bid packages for subcontractors and suppliers.Work directly with staff and operations department on completing various project estimates and documentation.Assist in the development of proposals and presentations.Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimates figures including updated information on prices from anize and detail the estimate for review purposes and efficiently turned over to operations personnel.Review and incorporate historical data from previous projects, purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis reports, etc. into current estimates.Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's Degree (4 years) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering or equivalent.3-5 years' experience in estimating, cost control and construction engineering within the heavy civil construction industry.Must possess knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control, as well as the ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems essentialSoftware skills to include HCSS Heavy Bid, Excel, Word, Outlook, and others.Previous experience working with Oracle Primavera P6 andor Microsoft Project.Ability to quickly learn new technology and business intelligence tools.Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.Strong interpersonal skills including excellent verbalwritten communication.Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.Must have legal work permitwhat we offer:Working in At TREVIICOS we give you a foundation that will anchor your career and provide fulfillment in the highly specialized field of ground engineering.You will Enjoy a dynamic environment with growth opportunities within an international group.We provide Exceptional Medical, Dental, Vision insurancesWe provide 401k Plan with employer matchThe ideal candidate must be legally authorized to work in the USA No recruitment agency is requiredTREVIICOS provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, ancestry, religion or veteran status, or any other status protected under applicable federal, state or local law.
