Field Service Technician

Great opportunity for an experienced Technician with electrical and mechanical expertise to work for a growing international power solutions provider. This is a full-time opportunity working on uninterruptable back up power systems at data centers across the San Jose area. Main activities: The ability to perform corrective and quarterly preventative maintenance programs on all mechanical and electrical systems. Troubleshooting and diagnosing emergency repair procedures of ACDC controls.Being able to use monitoring software, SCADAPLC software for trouble shooting with helpdesk assistanceMust be available for on-call rotation. Provide technical support to customers, sister companies, distributors, and agentsReading and understanding wiring diagrams and schematicsSupport and Manage subcontractors during onsite workWorking independently with minimal daily supervisionProviding excellent customer service to internal and external customersWorking in a safe manner and following proper proceduresRequirements Minimum of 3 years' experience in power generation industry or transferable field. Industrial electrical background andor knowledge is highly desiredAbility to read and understand technical drawings Use of electrical testing equipment (Multimeters, Insulation testers, etc.) Excellent communication, reporting, and technical skillsBenefits Pay Range $35-$37 an hour based on experienceGuaranteed 40Hrs a week Provide Quarterly On-Call pay in addition to salaryTravel Pay and Pier Diem Provided Health Care (Medical, Dental & Vision)Company Vehicle Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
