Position Title: Electrical Controls EngineerReports To: VP & COOLocation: Beaver, PA, United StatesPosition SummaryThe Electrical Controls Engineer is responsible for the specification, design, development, testing, and certification of low voltage electrical panel assemblies and products as part of the c3controls Panel Solutions Group. Additionally this role will interface with customers to gather requirements, identify solutions, and provide sales proposal support. The role will provide input and support into the manufacturing, assembly, and testing processes to ensure product quality and cost. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe position includes designing low voltage (typically 600 VAC or less) systems and electrical panels for our customer's applications and processesThe position will work independently and as a part of a diverse team of multi-discipline engineers to solve problems and execute projects for industrial and manufacturing clientsStrict adherence to both customer and department established procedures, standards, and workflowsDevelop electrical system schematicsDevelop panel layouts and bill of materials for applicationsDevelop three line diagrams for motor circuitsDevelop cable schedules and conduit layouts (wire routings) if required by the projectDevelop construction work instructionsWork with Sales, Engineers and potential customers to determine optimal solutions for their applicationsEstimate design and execution time and provide written quotations for sales proposalsTechnical AspectsWorking knowledge of electrical schematic and connectionWorking knowledge of UL508A and NFPA 70 National Electric CodeApplies engineering principles, practices, and problem solving techniques to all new product design and existing product enhancement activities.Conducts research to determine the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of materials, components and devices.Performs product design and development activities, including:Developing product design concepts and performance specifications.Drawing, CAD layout, and creation of graphic models.Identifies potential suppliers of required components, materials, and processes.Participates in quality team meetings - employs root-cause analysis and defines and implements corrective actions.Assists and directs new production releases and training.Supports sales and marketing initiatives - provides product technical informationspecifications and conducts sales training.Has product line responsibilities to assure production quality and cost effective assembly techniques.Maintains the integrity of the Engineering drawing and document database.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. The Engineer is responsible for achieving the technical objectives assigned to the Panel Solutions Group. Required Education and ExperienceB.S. Mechanical Engineering, B.S. Electrical Engineering, B.S. Engineering Mechanics, or Equivalent Degree.1-3 years of engineering experience Integrity, credibility, and unwavering commitment to c3controls' missionIntermediate to advanced skills with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides...etc.) or equivalent for data analysis, presentations, and written communicationsIntermediate to advanced knowledge of major engineering softwareAttention to detail are required; strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key informationPreferred Education and Experience3+ years of experience in controls and or electrical engineeringSkillful in effectively handling multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environmentStrong analytical and accounting skill-setProven work experience as a team leaderTravelMinimalOccasional travel may be required periodically for this position.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in an onsite professional office environment.
