Micro-Tech USA: Low Voltage Cabling Technician Position Available in Chicago, ILJoin Micro-Tech USA, a leading multiservice IT provider with a 30-year legacy of implementing innovative technologies and providing exceptional on-site and off-site support. We are currently seeking a dedicated Low Voltage Cabling Technician to join our dynamic team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will be someone who has strong low voltage cabling experience and wants to expand into IT support and learn more about business and cloud technologies.Role Responsibilities:Perform low voltage cabling work at client offices in new construction and existing facilities.Utilize standard category cable tools and run fiber stall, terminate, and test various types of cables, including Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cables.Ensure all cabling installations meet industry standards and client specifications.Troubleshoot and resolve cabling issues efficiently and professionally.Utilize architectural drawings to identify and complete job requirements.Collaborate with other team members and support their tasks as needed.Maintain accurate documentation of cabling installations and modifications.Location and Work Arrangement:Based near Chicago, IL with the ability to drive to client locations.A reliable car is required for this role.Qualifications:Experience in low voltage cabling, including installation, termination, and fortable using standard category cable tools and running fiber cables.Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for cabling fortable utilizing takeoff software to help plan projectsComfortable reading architectural drawingsStrong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.Excellent communication skills and a team player mindset.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Preferred Skills:Certifications in low voltage cabling or related fields.Experience with structured cabling systems and network infrastructure.Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.Proficiency in using cable testing equipment and tools.Benefits:40 Hours of Paid-Time-Off that will increase with tenure.40 Hours of Paid-Sick-Leave.Health Insurance Plans available with a $300month contribution from MTUSA.Fully paid Dental and Vision Insurance.401(k) plan with a match by MTUSA.HSA plan.Paid Holidays.All tools will be provided.Annual profit-share-based bonus.
