Position Type: Hybrid (25 hours per week) Reports to: Executive DirectorPosition Overview:The Director of Advancement leads fundraising initiatives and donor relationships for the Chagrin Documentary Film Festival, driving sustainable growth through diverse revenue streams and strategic partnerships. This role offers flexible scheduling and the unique opportunity to be part of the film fest community while maintaining primary responsibility for the organization's advancement efforts.Key Responsibilities:Development Strategy & Executionâ— Design and implement comprehensive annual fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goalsâ— Lead all fundraising campaigns and membership programsâ— Secure and grow financial support from individuals, grant sources, foundations, and corporationsâ— Identify and cultivate new funding sources, including in-kind donations and marketing opportunitiesâ— Manage major donor relationships and stewardship programsâ— Create strategies for expanding individual donor baseâ— Oversee grant application process in collaboration with Executive Directorâ— Management of Donor Database â— Manage DevelopmentOffice CoordinatorBoard & Committee Relationsâ— Partner with Board Committee on fundraising initiativesâ— Develop individual board member giving plansâ— Provide regular updates at board meetingsâ— Track and report on development metrics and outcomesâ— Coordinate fundraising events with staffâ— Provide strategic guidance on event planning for donor engagementRequired Qualifications:Experience & Educationâ— Minimum 5 years professional fundraising experienceâ— Bachelor's degree requiredâ— Proven track record in major gifts and individual givingâ— Experience with donor database managementSkills & Competenciesâ— Outstanding written and verbal communicationâ— Strong relationship-building and networking abilitiesâ— Strategic planning and project management expertiseâ— Demonstrated success in donor cultivation and solicitationâ— Ability to work independently and collaborativelyâ— Excellent organizational and time management skillsâ— Adaptability and problem-solving capabilitiesâ— Proficiency in CRM systems and fundraising technologyAdditional Requirementsâ— Ability to maintain flexible part-time schedule (20-25 hours per week)â— Occasional evening and weekend availability for events and meetingsâ— Valid driver's license and reliable transportationâ— Ability to travel locally for donor meetings and eventsCompensation & Benefitsâ— Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experienceâ— Flexible schedulingâ— Hybrid work arrangements availableThe Chagrin Documentary Film Festival is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating an inclusive workplace environment.
