Senior Project Engineer

Position Description:We are seeking a professional with approximately 8+ years of experience and a range of knowledge and practice with remediation, environmental engineering design, construction and OM&M that can be integrated across our diverse portfolio of clients and projects. Preferred candidates will have experience working on complex remedial projects - from inception with proposal preparation to remedial evaluation, engineering design, management and execution of field work, reporting and client communications. Preferred candidates will perform well in a leading or supporting capacity with other professionals and possess the willingness and disposition to mentor engineering staff. The selected candidate will report to the principal engineering manager, and may be assigned junior or mid-level staff with time.Preferred Experience and Requirements:1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline2. Professional engineering (PE) license (VA, MD, DE, NJ andor PA) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire3. Approximately 8+ years of related experience4. Experience and knowledge of groundwater, soil, and soil vapor characterization and remedial techniques and technologies5. Experience with managingsupporting large-scale and complex environmental sites involving hazardous and mixed wastes, free-phase product, etc.6. Experience with cost estimating and bid preparation including technical proposal writing7. Experience with implementing pilot tests, engineering principles of design, installation and construction8. Experience with OM&M of remediation systems, treatment processes, and optimization9. Experience with environmental compliance andor permitting (NPDES, Air Quality, SPCC, E&S Controls)10. Ability to support project teams with excellent internal as well as excellent external client and regulatory communication skills11. Must be resourceful with excellent communication and writing skills and possess a high degree of initiative and time management skillsKey Responsibilities and Duties:1. Support project teams with complex remedial evaluation, engineering design, management and execution of field work, reporting, and client communications.2. Lead andor support client and bid proposal efforts as well as other life-cycle and order of magnitude costing efforts3. Assist clients and project teams across various industries with environmental compliance andor permitting (SPCC, NPDES, E&S Controls, and etc.)4. Review plans, specifications, and technical reports prepared by junior level staff5. Mentor and coach junior level staff on complex remediation activities6. Perform other related duties as assigned by the principal engineering manager7.
