We are currently seeking a Principal Instrument & Controls Engineer reporting directly to the Study Manager, to join our team based in Houston, Texas.Purpose:As a lead engineer, you will be responsible for the development of all types of Instrumentation and Control systems deliverables on a project, including P&IDs; field instrument specifications, datasheets, and requisitions; control systems specs, datasheets, (including DCS, SIS, Fire & Gas, PLC, etc.) This position specializes in upstream oil and gas projects, however, supports downstream and sustainable energy projects. Role Responsibility:Develop and write technical Scopes of Work and the Basis of Design documentation and assures technical accuracy and conformance to project requirements Develop, review and mark-up instruments on P&IDs to ensure compliance with company, client and applicable codes and standards (e.g. ISA, IEC, API)Develop sizing, calculations and specifications of control valves, regulators, flowmeters, instrumentation including Level, Pressure, Temperature & Flow.Prepares calculations, technical specifications, proposal evaluations, technical reports, detailed analyses, and other materials suitable for proposals and concept evaluation purposes.Contributes to the preparation of schedules and cost estimates for I&C packages in the Conceptual development through Detailed design stages.Review supplier drawing submittals, respond to requests for information, and perform technical bid analysis.Attend meetings and participate as a Company representative in Client or vendor meetings;Work in a multidisciplinary studyproject environment where communication with other discipline engineers and organizational management is key to success.Manage supplier relationships and review supplier's document deliverablesRequirements:Bachelor of Science in Electrical, chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 10-15 years of relevant upstream downstream sustainable energy experienceCandidate should have strong problem-solving abilities to come up with creative solutions.Experience in offshore facilities engineering with exposure to Gulf of Mexico requirements.Familiarity with terrestrial and offshore industry codes and standards (NEC, NESC, IEEE, IEC, DNVGL, ISO, UFC, API, etc.)We invite you to get to know more about our company by visiting and follow us on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube for company updates.It is the policy of Technip Energies to provide equal opportunity for all qualified persons and not to discriminate against any applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, citizenship, or any other characteristics protected by federal, state or local law at the Technip Energies location to which this application is submitted.
