Senior Estimator - Construction

Are you an experienced and seasoned individual seeking a full-time Senior Estimator position? This may be the perfect opportunity for you! The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of experience in construction estimating and is adept at conceptual estimates, budget updates, and final construction estimates. Also, the candidate should be experienced in managing both the GMPnegotiated and "lump sum" competitive bid delivery methods. Knowledge of the local subcontracting market is key.Pay for this role: $110,000 - $150,000Senior Estimator Primary Responsibilities:Review project plans and requirementsReview bid documentsDetermine labor and equipment costsAnalyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bidsNegotiate and write subcontractsPrepare bid packages and scope review spreadsheetsPrepare conceptual estimatesPrepare budget updatesPrepare final construction estimates and budgetsSite visits and client meetings as neededSenior Estimator Qualifications:Ten or more years in the construction field with particular knowledge of estimatingAbility to handle multiple projects with tight deadlinesKnowledge of Microsoft Office ApplicationsKnowledge of OnScreen TakeoffsKnowledge of construction delivery methodsExcellent communication skills including writing, speaking, and presentingStrong interpersonal skills; ability to "connect" with othersPossess creative thinking and problem-solving skillsHave the ability to nurture existing, and develop, relationships with architects and subcontractorsSelf-motivatedLeadership and decision-making skillsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
