A healthcare system in New York City is currently seeking a Cantonese andor Mandarin-speaking, licensed Family Internal Medicine Physician to join their team in Manhattan.Responsibilities:The Bilingual Family Internal Medicine Physician will be responsible for:Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and chronic diseases and conditionsPrescribing or administering medications, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injuryExplaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patientsMonitoring patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluating treatments, as necessaryProviding health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease preventionImmunizing patients against preventable diseasesMaintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, andor treatments prescribed, and test resultsReferring patients to other medical specialists, when necessaryProviding compassionate and empathetic support and advice to patients regarding their health concernsPreparing official health documents or records, when necessaryParticipating in network activities such as Provider meetings, Grand Rounds, and training sessionsPerforming other related duties, as assignedQualifications:Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New YorkBoard Eligible Certified in Family andor InternalMedicineBilingual (English and Cantonese or Mandarin)DEA licensure registrationWorking knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills:3+ years of Family Medicine experienceYour privacy is important to us.
