A medical services organization in California is looking to add a licensed professional to join their team as a Substance Use Disorder Clinician to their growing team at one of their facilities in Los Angeles.About the Opportunity:Schedule: Monday toFridayHours:8am to 5pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)Setting: OutpatientResponsibilities:TheSubstance Use Disorder Clinician will:Conduct psycho-social assessments of clientsMake referrals and conduct follow up on clients needing additional mental health servicesProvide crisis intervention services for clients in need of counsel and supportProvide individual and group counseling and appropriate documentationPerform mental status examinations, therapy and preventive health measuresRecord physical finding, and formulate a plan and prognosis, based on the patients conditionDiscuss cases with Physician and other health professionals to prepare a comprehensive patient care planAdminister or recommend individual therapy or other forms of treatmentSupervise counselors, case managers, and graduate level internsAssist the Clinical Supervisor and Director of Behavioral and Social Services in completing reports and reapplication requirements based on funder guidelinesPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:4+ years of experience in a Community-based organization, including 3 years of experience implementing and advancing Substance Abuse Treatment programs in a Supervisorial roleBachelor's DegreeLicensed Therapist (MFT, LCSW, PsyD) or licensed TherapistFamiliar with state and local alcohol drug mental health issues and regulations, particularly the Drug Medical programSolid problem solving and time management skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills:Master's Degree in Mental Public Health, Social Services Work, andor Public AdministrationBilingual (English and Spanish)Previous experience in an Outpatient setting
