We are pleased to announce that the Department of Urology at Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM) is recruiting a full-time basic science research faculty member committed to the development of a translational research program in the following fields: imaging science, image-guided therapy, biomedical engineering, andor molecular, developmental, stem cell biology with relevance to urological cancer andor benign urological diseases. This position is at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The Department of Urology is committed to advancing the fundamental basic science of urological diseases and to translating these discoveries for improving human health care. Faculty rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. RequirementsQualifications: Qualified candidates will have appropriate education and training backgrounds (e.g. Ph.D. andor M.D., and postdoctoral fellowship ) in relevant biological and engineering disciplines, and demonstrated potential or a proven track record of publications, and extramural funding. A history of successful collaboration with clinical colleagues is highly desired. The faculty will be expected to work closely with clinician colleagues in urology and related fields to formulate novel research directions and collaborations to advance urological sciences. Additional Description: The right candidate will: Play an instrumental role in advancing the Department of Urology's mission specific to driving research, discovery, and innovation through our multidisciplinary translational research initiatives and program. Develop a robust basic science, translational, andor clinical research program, with focus on extramural grants, publications, trainee education, and cutting-edge innovation. Cultivate leadership skills and development, through various channels and departmental and institutional programs and initiatives. Be dedicated to the education of the next generation of diverse leaders in urologic care. Participate in department mentorship, conferences, residentfellow education, and training. Serve a diverse population and build relationships with support staff and faculty. Competitive Salary and WCM Health Insurance and Benefits. Salary Range: The expected base pay range for this position is: Assistant Professor: $125,292 to $146,981 Associate Professor: $188,716 to $206,118 Professor: $216,185 to $252,245 Weill Cornell Medicine provides the above salary range in compliance with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range listed is for full-time employment not including bonuses, clinical incentive compensation, or benefits. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, specialty, training, and hospitalcommunity needs.
