We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organized Legal Assistant to support our Commercial Litigation team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial litigation, with a focus on assisting attorneys in managing and litigating complex business disputes.Key Responsibilities:Provide administrative and legal support to commercial litigation attorneys.Draft and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.Assist with preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials by organizing case files, exhibits, and evidence.Manage case files, including filing documents with the court, tracking deadlines, and ensuring compliance with court rules.Coordinate communication between clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.Maintain and update case calendars to track deadlines, court dates, and appointments.Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to ongoing litigation matters.Prepare discovery requests and responses, including document production, interrogatories, and requests for admissions.Assist in preparing settlement proposals, trial briefs, and other litigation-related documents.Manage and organize electronic files, documents, and case information using legal management software.Qualifications:Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial litigation or similar practice area.Strong understanding of litigation procedures, including filing deadlines, discovery, and trial preparation.Proficiency with legal research tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and litigation support software.Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with e-filing and CMECF systems.Knowledge of Florida court rules and procedures is a plus.Salary: $70,0000-$75,000yr.Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision & more.If interested in this litigation legal assistant position, please apply today!
