Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Ultrasound Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 02/17/2025 Duration: 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Ultrasound Technician Atlanta, Georgia, 30303 13 Weeks Description / Comment : Shift: 630p-5a Mon.-Thursday Must have 2 years acute exp in similar sized hospital. Should be strong in general and vascular ultrasound. ARRT or ARDMS required. Please load all demographic info, including badge appropriate photo . Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technician to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound equipment. The technician will work closely with healthcare professionals to assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of various medical conditions, ensuring patient comfort and accuracy in imaging. Key Responsibilities: Perform Ultrasound Procedures: Conduct high-quality ultrasound imaging studies, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and other specialized examinations as prescribed by physicians. Patient Care: Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the examination. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning properly. Report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly. Documentation: Record imaging results and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with medical and legal requirements. Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to analyze and interpret imaging results. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including infection control and radiation safety standards, and comply with hospital and departmental policies. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques to provide the best possible patient care. Qualifications: Education: Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technician or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Certification: Current certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent is required. Experience: Previous experience in a clinical ultrasound setting Skills: Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and performing imaging procedures. Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze images for diagnostic purposes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare teams. Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
