Certification Details BLS ACLS Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within the past 6 months. Strong cardiac tele background required. Schedule Information 12 hr shifts (7a - 7p or 7p - 7a) Ability to self-schedule; however this could change from time to time. Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule. Holiday Requirement: Rotate in with the perm staff. Unit Specific Information Will float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and CRMC/MGMC EDs as needed. Nurses must be able to read & interpret strips. No monitor tech in the ED. Unit/Department specific orientation: 2 shifts orientation to Med/Surg/Tele at primary campus. Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Additional Details This is a TELE POSITION, REQUIRING TELE SKILLS. Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving offer, through RELIAS, only (with 2 MAX attempts). There is a PASS/FAIL SIM LAB on day one of orientation (study guides will be provided with first day instructions). Will be caring for patients from the ER who are waiting on a bed in the hospital. May be asked to help with ED patients including vitals, IV starts and medication administration. Will not be asked to be primary RN for ED patient assignment.
