Operations Sales Manager Job Summary Auto Export Shipping is seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to join our domestic and international logistics organization. In this role, you will be a key member of our operations and sales team. You will be responsible for leading, managing, and developing 10 team members. You will be responsible for growing and maintaining business relationships with shipping lines and vendors while developing new partnerships. Core functions of this position will include monitoring team member performance and KPI s, managing daily and monthly customer, employee and business analytics. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the logistics and transportation industry, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and develop relationships with management from shipping lines, ports, port authority, vendors, sellers of equipmenttrucksautos, auction houses, and VIP customers. Review and negotiate contracts with shipping lines, vendors, etc. Manage administrative role for our business bank function. Manage data integrity and act as an administrator for Magaya. Oversee day-to-day operations for 10 containerRORO shipping lines. Manage Accounts Receivable department. Create, adjust, andor implement processes for operations, sales, customer service, marketing, and account teams. Partner with marketing for content creation for all social media platforms. Oversee and manage our contracted back-office team. Forecast upcoming vessel volumes for planning and loading. Oversee process development for our Baltimore, MD terminal. Solve escalated customer and partnership concerns. Analyze customer s performance to determine sell pricing accuracy. Oversee inland transportation operations. Oversee containerwarehouse operations. Arrange meeting(s) with offsite employee(s) and partners. Remain up to date on market trends and economic conditions that might affect our business. Additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Able to work with minimum direct supervision. Must be able to work accurately and efficiently. Ability to remain flexible in work assignmentsscheduled hours. Ability to multi-task as necessary. The ability to travel to other offices or ports located domestically and possibly internationally. Strong organization, interpersonal, and written skills. Self-starter and self-motivated. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 4-year bachelors level degree or higher. Minimum of 2 years leadingmanaging team members. 3+ years experience with Magaya (our similar transportation management system). 3 -5 years of experience in the transportation, logistics, or cargo shipping industry. Intermediate experience with Excel and business data analysis.
