Controls Engineer (Both Mid-level & Senior), 6 Month Contract to Hire, 50-60% Travel (Overnight -RegionalWorldwide),Pay: Mid $85K-$95KSenior $100K - $110K plus overtime payAbility to travel internationally and Hireable (US Citizen or Green Card - No Sponsorship)The Sr Controls Engineer designs and develops PLC programs for material handling equipment. This position has comprehensive knowledge of equipment, business and customer requirements that drive the design of the technical solutions and participates in all phases of product development lifecycle, including the analysis, design, electrical designs, installation support, electrical installation debugging and support of other complimentary engineering staff associated with the electrical hardware engineering. The Sr Controls Engineer works independently to resolve site requirement changes, and support solutions to complete designed equipment installation. Travels to job sites. Responsibilities:Programs systems to support equipment terfaces with internal engineeringproject management and customers to determine system requirements.Supports electrical installation via interfacing to electrical installers.Debugs electrical installation of controls and motor components.Travels to job site 65-80%.Additional duties as assigned.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years previous professional controls engineering experience with: o Allen Bradley (Rockwell) PLC's and Studio 5000 software o In the office you will be programming 100% of the day and when traveling you will be troubleshooting software issues onsite and programming. o Need Ladder Logic Programming skills to develop PLC software for complex machines and systems via communications interface to external systems such as servers, scanners, scales, etc. o Experience programming PLCs to support Material Handling Equipment (i.e., conveyors, sorters, automated storage and retrieval systems, order picking technologies, and printapply and weighing systems) that are vital operations within a distribution center.Regular travel either locally, nationally, andor internationally may be required.High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients.Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.Ability to work with and influence peers and management.Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.Cincinnati Bell Technology Solutions provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a protected veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
