Our Charlotte, North Carolina office is seeking a Full Time Paralegal.  Are you looking for experience? Are you an established Paralegal looking for a change?  Chaplin & Gonet can provide the opportunity for you to work with senior associates to meet these goals. Responsibilities: Communicate directly with North Carolina and South Carolina Courts in preparation of Court Dockets Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel Drafting legal documents and pleadings, including deposition notices, subpoenas, motions, certifications, contracts, briefs and complainsPreparing and Filing Complaints (electronic and paper process) Obtaining Service on Defendants  Monitoring deadline dates for service of process on DefendantsPreparing trial documents for Attorney and managing new files Contributing to trial preparation in litigation practices including discovery (the exchange of certain information between opposing parties to a lawsuit) Management of Outlook calendar for Attorneys regarding hearings and trial dates Managing updates in collections software (JST CollectMax software knowledge helpful)Perform clerical tasks including data entry, copying, scanning, and faxingQualifications:Maintain compliance with the Fair Debt Collections Practices ActMust have the ability to speak clearly, courteously, and professionally on the telephoneMust work with sense of urgency  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and outside work-related contactsConsistently demonstrate accuracy and attention to detailAbility to collect, analyze information, solve problems and make decisions Technology forward with emphasis on Office 365 Ability to Independently work on secondary assignmentsAbility to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detailReliable attendance track record This position includes a Full Time Salary position with competitive Benefit Package.
