Job SummarySupport and implement project management information system tools to facilitate enhanced oversight and work planning methodology and to review the project portfolio along with schedule data. Develop, coordinate and maintain workresource management, scheduling, procurement, and document management methods and databases.Ensure system work is accomplished with optimal use of both internal and external resources within required timeframes as well as within budget and scope. Work with departmental managers and technical leads to develop workload forecasting using work management system data, historical data, economic indicators, and project schedules. Project management responsibilities include project scope meetings, project update meetings and course correction. Assist in project schedule development; Contractor coordination and management; Project management assistance; Integrated scheduling; Performance reporting; Project change management; Risk and Contingency planning. Job ResponsibilitiesThe Principal Project Scheduler will develop project schedule and oversee the schedule management, tracking through project delivery of the projects within the IT Services organization supporting all internal lines of business.Candidate will ensure projects being executed will meet the baseline schedule review process, are executed with optimal use of both internal and external resources within required timeframes, as well as within budget and scope.Observeguide scheduling team to evaluate processes adherence and quality for P6 cost loaded project schedules which support forecasting, reporting and departmental targets.The candidate in this position will utilize their expertise to offer technicalanalytical and functional support; lead scheduling resources within program in the area of project controls schedule development and reporting using department tools.Provide schedule summary slides for large programs to support Steerco, and Senior Leadership presentation decks.Review resource allocation and provide recommendations for adjustments.Run quality reports for program and aide scheduling Manager to evaluate stage gate process adherence to meet departmental targets.Effective communicate and provide Power Point slides adhoc to support Porftolio helath reviews, steerco monthly metric meetings, Schedule review meetings for leadership, project teams, and project stakeholders as requested.Job Specific QualificationsRequiredBS in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Construction, or Business discipline or minimum six years professional business, engineering or construction experienceMinimum 5 years of experience with Project Controls concepts (project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, or closeout)Minimum 5 years of experience with Scheduling concepts (schedule development, schedule controls and variance reporting)Full proficiency and experience with Integrated Data Management Tools such as, MS Excel or Smartsheet; SharePoint experience with computer applications, including Primavera P6, and MS Office suite (strong Microsoft Excel skills).Capable of delivering technical presentations to project stakeholders and management and communicating plans, ideas, and strategies to key stakeholders, including Company leadershipStrong effective oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal and team-building skillsMust be a self-starter capable of seeking out project-related information from project stakeholders and possess leadership skills in order to train and develop others and stand in for Lead Project Controls Engineer, when requiredMust take personal accountability for actions and results; strive for personal and departmental continuous improvement; focus on measurement of results and demonstrate PSEG Values & BehaviorDesiredAdvanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering or MBAPmi-sp Scheduling Professional Certification, or PMP Experience in all areas of project managementSAPMinimum Years of ExperienceEducationBachelors
