We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our growing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investments, acquisitions, real estate, treasury, finance, and accounting. The CFO will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the family office, ensuring the optimization of financial resources, and providing strategic guidance to maximize investment opportunities and wealth preservation.Key Responsibilities:1. Financial Strategy and Planning:Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the family's objectives and risk tolerance.Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and planning to support investment decisions and growth initiatives.Collaborate with the family members to establish financial goals, risk management strategies, and long-term financial plans.2. Investment Management:Oversee the portfolio management process, including asset allocation, investment selection, and performance evaluation.Identify and assess investment opportunities, conducting due diligence on potential investments and presenting recommendations to the family.Monitor market trends, economic conditions, and industry developments to make informed investment decisions.3. Acquisitions and Real Estate:Lead the evaluation and execution of potential acquisitions, analyzing financial models, conducting valuation assessments, and negotiating deals.Manage real estate investments, including property acquisitions, leasing, property management, and asset enhancement strategies.4. Treasury and Cash Management:Develop and implement effective cash management strategies, ensuring liquidity needs are met while optimizing returns on surplus funds.Manage banking relationships, negotiate credit facilities, and oversee cash flow forecasting.5. Financial Reporting and ComplianceEnsure accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparation of consolidated financial statements and performance reports.Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, tax obligations, and reporting standards.Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel as needed.6. Risk Management:Identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential losses.Develop and maintain comprehensive risk management policies and procedures.7. Team Leadership:Manage and mentor a team of finance and accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.Delegate tasks, provide guidance, and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.8. Family Communication:Serve as a key point of contact for family members, addressing financial inquiries, providing investment updates, and presenting performance reports.Present financial information and investment recommendations in a clear and concise manner.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.CPA, CFA, or similar professional designation is a plus.Proven track record of successfully managing investments, acquisitions, and real estate within a family office or relevant financial institution.Strong understanding of financial markets, investment vehicles, and wealth preservation strategies.Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Effective leadership and team management abilities.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with family members, external advisors, and stakeholders.High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
