Our law firm client is seeking an experienced full-time Litigation Legal Secretary with experience in filing CA State and Federal Courts. This position will be based out of our San Diego office.The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter, who is able to multi-task under time constraints with exceptional attention to detail, take initiative, think strategically and independently and interact with all levels of the firm. The position requires excellent communication, organizational and computer skills for assisting senior attorneys. We currently offer a hybrid work schedule, 3 days in the office, 2 days' work from home. ResponsibilitiesPreparation of documentsEfficient workflow which includes the duplication, printing, mailing and merging of documentsProofreading of all work for both content and contextPreparing and maintaining client and office files both in electronic and paper filing systemsPreparation and submission of new client andor new matter formsPlanning and making travel arrangements which include transportation, automobile rentals, and hotel reservationsPreparing and submitting expense reports and check requestsWorking with the Billing department to resolve billing problems and efficiently process final billing statementsWorking with clients' electronic billing systems and monitoring billing processesCommunicating with clients on a daily basis via phone or email. Scheduling and coordinating meetings and conferencesStrong document processing skillsStrong project management skillsQualificationsMinimum 5 years recent litigation experienceState and Federal e-filing experienceExperience with litigation procedures and processesCalendaring and docketing experienceExperience with the use of a document management system is preferredRedlining experience is preferredProficiency with Microsoft applications with advanced level in Word and OutlookOutstanding written and verbal communications; ability to professionally interact with clients, attorneys, and staff is requiredAbility to work overtime is required High school diploma or its equivalent requiredThe salary range for this role is $75,000-$85,000. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications and location.
