We represent the premier global life sciences and healthcare hub in the world, with 1,700+ members dedicated to preventing, treating, and curing diseases through transformative science and technology that brings value and hope to patients.Reporting to the Sr VP of Membership Engagement, the Member Engagement Specialist will be responsible for maintaining MassBio's membership base. In addition, they will serve as a resource for engagement, utilization, guidance and questions regarding MassBio membership and its deliverables. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and dynamic collaborator, with a demonstrated success in business development in a small, growing organization.Key Responsibilities Include: Membership:Conduct New Member Onboarding Meetings to integrate member companies into the MassBio EcoSystemManagement of the overall member experience through continued engagement with MassBio member companiesCollaboration with Business Development team in recruitment of new organizations to join MassBio membershipAssist in collection of membership dues of renewing companiesAid in the development of an initial engagement strategy for each new memberAssist in developingmaintaining membership materialsMaintain Membership inbox by handling day to day requests and triage other member questionsManage membership event calendarMembership Events:Support membership specific events including, but not limited to, membership open houses and regional mixers, breakfastlunch fairs at member populated buildings, networking receptions - Use these as an opportunity to engage non-members.On-site point of contact for membership events as assignedSupport MassBio Lunch & Learns on-site at member companies throughout Massachusetts Assist with staffing of ancilary membership events as assignedManage new membership opportunities at conferences and eventsQualifications:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience2 or more years' experience in a business development role, experience in life sciences andor a membership environment, strongly preferredA creative thinker who can spot trends and develop strategies, ability to envision, create and launch initiatives to boost growth and awarenessDemonstrated ability to forge relationships and collaborate with many different disciplines both inside and outside the companyStrong analytical and presentation skills, with accuracy and attention to detailExcellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all organizational levelsAt MassBio, our team strives every day to provide support and services to our full range of members in order to give them and the Massachusetts life sciences ecosystem the best chance to succeed and bring new, breakthrough cures and therapies to patients around the world.
