Job Title: Data AnalystBusiness Analyst Location: Newark, NJ (Onsite 2 daysweek)Employment Type: [Contract to hire]________________________________________Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data AnalystBusiness Analyst to join our team in the healthcare payer industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collaborating with stakeholders, defining user stories, and creating acceptance criteria, with a solid understanding of healthcare payer processes and data analysis.________________________________________Key Responsibilities• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.• Create detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure alignment with project objectives.• Facilitate AgileScrum ceremonies and ensure adherence to Agile principles.• Utilize Jira and Confluence for project tracking, documentation, and collaboration.• Perform intermediate SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, and validation (e.g., using joins and distinct queries).• Conduct data analysis and provide insights; experience with SAS is strongly preferred.• Work closely with technical teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.• Analyze and translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights.• Engage in periodic onsite meetings in Newark, NJ (2 days per week).________________________________________Qualifications• Experience: 7-9 years of experience as a Data AnalystBusiness Analyst in complex environments.• Healthcare Expertise: Strong experience in the healthcare payer or provider domain; clinical healthcare experience is a plus.• Technical Skills:o Proficiency in SQL (query building, joins, distinct, etc.).o Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.o Experience with data analysis tools; SAS preferred.• AgileScrum Knowledge: Proven track record of working in AgileScrum teams.• Self-Starter: Ability to work independently and take initiative.________________________________________Preferred Qualifications• Clinical healthcare experience.• Advanced skills in data analysis tools such as SAS.________________________________________Work Environment• Hybrid work model: 2 days onsite per week in Newark, NJ, with flexibility for remote work the remaining days.
