Japanese chemical company is seeking an Sales and Marketing Representative in Schaumburg, IL!1. General Position Summary:The Chemical Sales and Marketing Representative is responsible for successfully reaching sales budget and marketing the Company's chemical products in America's region, for contributing to the launching of new products and products still in their developmental stages, for engaging in R&D to identify and contribute to the development of promising products for the future. The candidates are expected to output a proven track record in sales and the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies. This role requires an ability to be able to understand various chemical products and to engage with new and existing customers effectively.2. Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.• Proven sales experience in the chemical industry or related field.• Experience with marketing and promotional activities.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.• Creativity and problem-solving abilities.• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.• Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.• High level of curiosity and willingness to learn.Preferred Qualifications:• Master's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the chemical industry.• Strong knowledge of chemical products, including but not limited to coatings, lubricants, and personal care products.3. Essential Job Functions:Primary Job Functions 90%Contributes to Sales and Profits of Company's Chemical ProductsBy maintaining and expanding ties with established customers;By establishing professional networks in the target market;By developing relationships in order to acquire new accounts;By working closely with the Senior Management and other relevant members of Senior Managements to determine strategic sales objectives;By recommending sales territories and quotes;By analyzing and evaluating sales performance of dealers or distributors;By develop persuasive sales plans and forecasts to achieve sales targets;By promoting existing and new products;By identify and acquire new customers through participation in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events.By supporting with other sales efforts at the request of the Senior Management.Markets and Promotes Company's Chemical ProductsBy having a thorough and updated knowledge of the Company's chemical products, focusing on but not limited to coatings, lubricants, and personal care products;By working closely with the Senior Management and Head Office to develop effective marketing strategies for target products;By attending or exhibiting certain trade shows and conferences to conduct marketing and promotional activities to increase the Company's presence and to promote sales, including increasing awareness of the Company's products;By identifying relevant people for successful business relationships and establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with them.Contributes to Market Research and Product DevelopmentBy analyzing market trends for potential products and products in the process of development and reporting information to the Senior Management and Head Office;By driving new R&D projects forward through independent research, customer engagement and communication with Head Office;By working with outside Consultants to conceive of new products that have promising markets;By seeking advice from and working with the Senior Management and relevant members of Business Development with regard to scientific information relevant to new product development;By brainstorming new potential products based on research and customer activity.Keeps the Senior Management InformedBy submitting monthly activity reports in writing to the Senior Management;By submitting written call reports to the Senior Management within one month of client meetings;By writing other marketing-related reports as requested by Senior Management.
