Edge Pursuit is seeking an experienced ManagerSenior Manager level resource to fill an operational accounting role on an interim basis. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned operational accountant with public accounting andor experience working in a public company. Local candidates (San Francisco Bay Area) with experience in life sciencesbiotech industry are highly preferred.Other desired qualificationscompetence:7+ years of accounting experienceBachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or FinancePublic company andor public accounting experience preferredDemonstrated hands-on experience in accounting operations and GL close procedures required with a knack for driving process improvement initiatives (this role will manage all accounting operations, incl. month-end close, accruals (incl. clinical accruals), prepaids, etc.)Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packagesAbility to explain and articulate complex financial and technical accounting conceptsSOX 404 working experienceUnderstanding of and prior experience working with clinical accruals a plusCPA, a plusCandidates must be highly self-motivated and bring entrepreneurial savvy, excellent client-facing skills, enthusiasm and energy, and have the ability to adapt with ease and shift focus between tasks seamlessly - all the qualities that are critical to thrive in the role of a consultant. Excellent analytical, project management, documentation and communication skills required.
