SRM Recruitment | Senior Tax Insurance Analyst

Our client is a is a market leading provider of specialist insurance solutions for complex transactional risks. Their dedicated team have a wide variety of backgrounds, including corporate law, tax law and tax accounting, investment banking and general industry. Their expertise covers the design of a range of bespoke policies and their successful placement to support M&A and other complex transactions.As part of their continued growth plans they are now looking to recruit a Senior Tax Analyst to join the tax insurance team.Responsibilities include:Learn about the tax insurance market and the risks assumed by the insurance market;Understand and learn their unique approach to broking which has underpinned their growth across North America;Execute on various parts of the broking process to help convert client risk opportunities into bound insurance policies, and in the process learn the business by doing;Join business development meetings and pitches with potential clients and legal advisors, and in time have an increased role in client management throughout the process;Given the bespoke nature of the policies they place and the complex risks covered, this role requires intellectual rigour and technical expertise. Each deal is unique and an ability to think "˜outside of the box' is key.Required skills:A determination and willingness to learn about the Tax insurance market;Written and oral business fluency in English. Additional business-fluency language skills are helpful but not a pre-requisite;A strong background in tax with 2-5 years of experience;Articulate, personable and able to explain tax concepts clearly; and the ability to understand and analyse tax due diligence reports, including matters that the candidate may not have come across on previous transactions.Previous insurance experience is not required.
