Our client is seeking a CivilStructural Engineer to work within their facilities located in Houston, TX, for an initial one-year assignment.The contingent CivilStructural Engineer will join the client's Engineering & Construction (E&C) department, based in Houston, TX, and report to the E&C Staff Structural Engineer. The selected applicant will primarily provide civilstructural engineering expertise to support Operations and Maintenance (O&M) brownfield capital projects at the Corpus Christi Liquefaction (CCL) facility.The CivilStructural Engineer will play a key role in supporting the client's mission to operate safely and reliably. This involves understanding and evaluating structures within the facility, working closely with the CCL O&M Engineering Services team to provide civilstructural expertise and quality assurance reviews of engineering work packages (EWP) and contractor deliverables. This role will provide senior level support on brownfield projects of varying complexity with limited supervision.Key areas of competency includeComprehensive knowledge of structural steel design and reinforced concrete designDesign of brownfield structural retrofits in a live plant environmentFamiliarity with geotechnical data and design of deep and shallow foundationsGeneral knowledge of onshore LNG facilities, material handling methods, and construction techniquesImplementation of EWPs through turnaround execution, project construction, and startupJob Responsibilities:Provide civilstructural engineering support for facility-wide improvement initiatives as part of a multi-discipline engineering team, including occasional field support to survey structural repairsmodifications.Review and approve engineering work packages and detailed contractor deliverables.Participate in model reviews and risk assessment workshops (MOCs and PSSRs).Provide guidance on technical inquiries, dispense technical recommendations, and support the advancement of civilstructural engineering work processes.Demonstrate behaviors that align with the client's core values).Required Skills:Excellent verbal and written skills to interface effectively with O&M anized, adaptable, and capable of prioritizing and managing multiple activities simultaneously.Exceptional problem solving and analytical puter skills including Microsoft Office applications, Navisworks, and STAAD.EducationExperience:Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university or college.A Texas Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred. Must possess or be able to attain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in civilstructural engineering of brownfield capital projects and a minimum of 3 years of construction experience.Work Conditions:Job will be performed in a typical office environment.Travel to the site is anticipated to be 10% or less.
