If this sounds like you, please keep reading and we encourage you to apply.The Senior Credit Underwriter position is our lead credit position that analyzes credit and financial reports in order to manage borrower and portfolio risks for the Bank. The Senior Credit Underwriter will work directly with our Business Development Officers (BDO's) to assist with appropriate credit structuring opportunities and will be actively involved in the writing and development of the credit presentation and approval. This position will also include a "front seat" at the Credit Administration and Technology tables as we build out our credit portfolio and further enhancements to our technology workflows, automations, and Integro360 platform. RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Review and spread business and personal financial information including leases and rent rolls received to provide detail for historical comparison and analysis.2. Document cash flows for operating business entities, real estate holding companies and individuals, as well as an overall global cash flow for loan analysis and loan approval.3. Produce projections, pro-forma statements and sensitivity analysis as appropriate.4. Identify and document exceptions to the Bank credit policy as well as pertinent mitigating factors.5. Prepare written and verbal presentations of financial information including detailed formal credit analysis with recommendations for loan approval or denial. The Senior Credit Underwriter attends and presents loans to Credit Officers andor Credit Committee(s) for approval.6. Conduct Annual Reviews of existing relationships and Annual Loan Covenant Compliance with consideration of Risk Rating accuracy. Manage outstanding ticklers, covenant monitoring, requesting financial items from clients, review and provide updates to lenders and management. Assist the Relationship Manager and Credit Administration on Past-Due loans, Watchlist credits and loan workouts, preparing Problem Loan Report as needed.8. Develop and maintain an acceptable turn-around time on all loan requests to sustain our reputation as a service-oriented and personable community bank.9. Act as a training resource for Relationship Managers and Junior Credit Underwriters related to understanding and interpreting financial statements and tax returns and upon request review the cash flow preparations and analysis of Relationship Managers and Junior Credit Analysts for correctness and completeness. Also reinforce the Bank's commitment to sustaining high credit quality and strong credit culture.12. Participate in continuing education courses to stay abreast of new banking regulations.13. Maintain thorough knowledge of Bank's credit policy and other Bank policies and procedures.14. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all Integro Bank products, services, procedures, policies and appropriate regulatory issues relating to daily job functions including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy; Fair Lending; Regulation E; deposit, transaction and loan accountsQUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities1. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.2. Experience working in a fast-paced environment where required to prioritize and deal effectively with varying workloads and meet deadlines. Time management is critical.3. Proven experience working independently with assertive decision-making for loan recommendations.4. Exceptional communication skills required, both verbal and written, including courteous and professional interaction, establishing trust and maintaining productive relationships with customers, peers, relationship managers and bank management.5. Quickly grasps Bank analysis software and retains information.6. Experience with Abrigo Sageworks, and FIS Horizon (core system) platforms highly desired.7. Broad experience in C&I, CRE, SBA lending underwriting highly desired. 8. Proficient with Microsoft Office Products - Word, Excel and Outlook.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor's Degree in accounting, business or finance preferred. 5 years in Commercial Banking (e.g., Credit Administration, Commercial Credit Underwriting, Portfolio Management or Commercial lending), required5 years of SBA Underwriting experience required.ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift a minimum of 20lbs.
