We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a well-respected community health organization based in New York City. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to providing high-quality, culturally sensitive healthcare to underserved populations and fostering a healthier and more equitable community.About the RoleThe CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, overseeing the organization's financial strategy, operations, and compliance. This role is critical in ensuring financial sustainability and supporting the organization's mission-driven programs.The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in nonprofit financial leadership, healthcare finance, and strategic planning, as well as the ability to inspire and manage a high-performing finance team.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization's mission and long-term goals.Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and audits.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as adherence to grant and funder requirements.Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and board of directors, enabling informed decision-making.Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies.Lead the finance team, fostering professional growth and operational excellence.Analyze financial trends and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency, revenue generation, and cost savings.Partner with program leaders to support fiscal planning for service delivery and community initiatives.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).CPA certification or equivalent is highly desirable.Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles within nonprofit or healthcare -depth knowledge of nonprofit accounting standards, grants management, and compliance.Strong understanding of healthcare finance, including government funding streams, reimbursements, and revenue cycle management.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and maintain a commitment to the organization's mission.Why Join Us?This is an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring financial sustainability for an organization dedicated to advancing health equity and serving vulnerable populations.
