Project Engineer - Engineering Program Manager Austin, TX6 month contract with possible extensionUp to $60HR (depending on experience)What to Expect This is a demanding and fast paced environment, and this role requires a highly motivated self-starter with a bias for action. This role requires a highly organized individual who can synthesize complex, ambiguous requirements into scope inputs that factory engineering and construction teams can execute to. You will drive collaboration across manufacturing, industrial engineering, infrastructure engineering, and construction teams to ensure factory launch plans are clear and executed to meet aggressive program goals. You will conduct technical deep dives into factory layout designs, infrastructure system options, and ensure factory development is adhering to company score principles. You will identify and understand program dependencies, risks, and disconnected information and distill data into clear messagesplans. You can communicate influence a wide range of staff from senior leaders to junior staff to support project goals.Ideal candidate will have: EPC experienceWhat You'll Do Responsible for leading the full design engineering of facilities from concept to production launchDevelop Engineering project plans and secure leadership alignmentDefines effectively communicates factory design scope prioritization for factory engineering teamDrives formation of internal and external engineering team and manages 3rd party consultant contracts and budget scopeImplement innovative engineering and design strategies to support aggressive program objectivesOwn execution of high-quality engineering deliverables i.e. IFC needed for procurement, costing, permitting, and construction activitiesOwns factory development program schedule, funding requests with broader team, and cross-functional design reviews, 2D and 3DLeads factory engineering technical deep dives, process safety studies, options analysisServe as main factory engineering point of contact for construction team during construction phaseOwn engineering project status reporting of progress, actions, risksWhat You'll Bring Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experienceExperience managing multi-disciplinary teams within ArchitecturalEngineering firms or design-build firmsExperience leading engineering for central plant systems i.e. chiller plants, boiler plants, compressor plants is a major plusFull understanding of all engineering disciplines and ability to demonstrate skills to manage engineering resourcesProven record in delivery of IFB, IFP and IFC packagesExperience designing manufacturing facilities, healthcare, laboratory, mission critical, and site infrastructure development project typesExcellent communication skills with ability to understand complex topics problems and distill the message clearlyPre-Construction Project Management experience is a plusAll applicants applying for this job opening must be legally authorized to work in the United States and are required to have US residency at the time of application.
