We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Paralegal to join our team and support the Department of Justice (DOJ), U.S. Attorney's Office (USAO) Opioids Unit within the USAO. "‹ This is an exciting opportunity to work on meaningful cases and contribute to the fight against opioid-related crimes. "‹Job Description: The Paralegal will be responsible for directly and independently supporting pending investigations and cases within the Opioids Unit. "‹ The role involves a wide variety of administrative and case-support functions, including document management, data analysis, and case file organization. "‹ The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. "‹Key Responsibilities:Manage and review documents and data sets. "‹Assist in the preparation of legal documents such as indictments, complaints, affidavits, and motions. "‹Conduct legal research and summarize relevant legal precedents. "‹Organize case files and prepare exhibits for court presentations. "‹Monitor the progress of pending cases and ensure timely submission of legal documents. "‹Compile and index discovery and evidence exhibits for trial. "‹Provide automated litigation assistance using various software applications. "‹Qualifications:Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to pass a federal background check for clearance.Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional. "‹Experience with document review and working in Eclipse, Relativity, andor Casemap. "‹Strong communication and interpersonal skills. "‹Ability to meet deadlines and work as a team player in a professional office setting. "‹Experience with highly technical andor pharmaceutical data and documents. "‹Prior experience or knowledge in medical billing, finance, economics, andor accounting is highly useful. "‹Strong attention to detail and time management skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work environments.Preferred Qualifications:Technical and pharmaceutical data handling.Experience viewing, accessing, and searching publicly available materials, governmental databases, and other sources to identify possible violations of federal healthcare fraud and other applicable criminal statutes.
