All employment is decided on the basis of qualifications, merit, and business need.Position OverviewThe candidate will join a team of over twenty investment professionals globally and will work based in New York with the Secondary team in Europe and the US investment team. The dedicated global secondary team is currently comprised of a Managing Director, an associate and an analyst all of whom are based in Paris. This role is pivotal to support the continued expansion of Flexstone's secondary franchise and the increasing focus on US secondary transactions. The candidate will report to both the CIO in New York and the Managing Director and Head of Secondaries based out of Paris.ExperienceQualifications:Mature and highly motivated individual who has a problem solving and "can-do" attitude, is detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to work efficiently, both independently as well as part of a teamAdvanced analytical skills with proven experience in complex financial analysis, transaction modelling and company valuationsStrong intellectual rigor and work ethicAbility to source new secondary investment opportunities relevant network of relationships within the private equity ecosystem (GPs, LPs, intermediaries)4-5 years of prior private equity secondaries experience is a prerequisitePrior investment banking experience is a positive, but not required Outstanding academic record (University and GPA)Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills Fluent English (written and spoken); additional language skills a plusPrimary Responsibilities:Play a key role in screening and review of potential secondary investment opportunities (both GP-led and LP-interest transactions), including analysis and modelling of individual portfolio companies, partnerships and transactionsDrafting and presentation of transaction materials for Investment Committee review and discussionsBuild and cultivate strong relationships with GPs, LPs and other relevant stakeholders within the private equity industry and secondaries market in particularSourcing of new secondary investment opportunitiesAct as a deal captain throughout the various transaction stages with only limited supervisionParticipation in and thoughtful contribution to Investment Committee discussions, also on primary and co-investment strategiesActive investment monitoring through GP update meetings, annual investor conferences, financial statement analysis and primary and secondary research where relevantInvolvement in managementstaffing and training and development of junior team membersActively contribute to commercial and fundraising efforts, including drafting of marketing materials, coordinating RFP processes etc. in close collaboration with the IRBD teamOccasional (international) travel for AGMs, industry conferences and fundraising where requiredLocation: New York CityStart Date: As soon as possible to be mutually agreedCompensation: $200K-$325K per annum inclusive of discretionary bonus, which depends on experience and performance assumed to be in line with expectations.How to apply: Candidates should submit a letter of interest along with a resume to Sylvie Bondurand at .
