About the job:We are a growing business in the meat industry in Northeast Ohio. We focus on beef, chicken, pork and seafood. We are a licensed Certified Angus Beef distributor, USDA Inspected further-processing facility, and we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will partner with our operations manager to further develop our current HACCPQuality Control plans, and our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This position involves working closely with production teams to monitor processes, conduct inspections, and maintain compliance with industry regulations. This person will need to be able to implement new programs, and oversee expansiongrowth of a new facility, new equipment, and new products.SummaryObjective: Provide guidance and direction to staff to ensure understanding, training and implementation of company food safety programs and testing procedures. Serve as liaison to USDA inspectors, maintaining a positive relationship and ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines. Essential Functions: • Routine Daily Inspections Inside and outside the facilitiesPointing out areas of concern needing attention and assigning Food Safety Tasks for Maintenance, Refrigeration, Production, Sanitation, Shipping, and Safety Depts.Managing Pest Management ProgramAssisting sanitation team with pre-operational verificationCollecting numerous Food Safety related checklists documentation from all DepartmentsHosting Food Safety Committee MeetingsAssisting Sales with Customer Food Safety Surveys & QuestionnairesPerform routine traceability exercisesResponsibilities: Create, expand, and maintain HACCP plans to meet the company growth goals. Conduct regular inspections of food products throughout the production process to ensure adherence to quality standardsCollaborate with production staff to identify areas for improvement in food processing operations.Maintain accurate records of quality control checks and report any discrepancies or concerns to management.Requirements:At least 5 yrs. working in Food PackingManufacturing Company (Food Safety, Quality Assurance or Sanitation related experiences)Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Food Science or related fieldHACCP CertificationSkills:Experience in the food industry, particularly in roles involving meat cutting or food production.Strong mechanical knowledge related to food processing equipment and machinery.Familiarity with sanitation practices and regulations within a food processing environment - USDA, FDA, HACCP, GMP, SQFAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and reporting findings to puter skills - intermediateadvanced MS Excel, Word, google suite
