Olympus Energy LLC ("Olympus") is seeking a motivated team member for the position of Instrumentation & Electrical Specialist for immediate hire in their Pittsburgh area operations. This position is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and support of automated systems used to monitor, measure, and control oil and gas facilities, including communications and related SCADA software. Other responsibilities include implementing and overseeing area automation equipment, site commissioning, and preventive maintenance programs. Key interactions include engineering, construction, and field operations personnel.Core Responsibilities:• Represent the company as the area instrumentation and electronics lead.• Responsible for area compliance in accordance with company standards and industry best practices.• Promotes excellence in operations by coordinating, directing, and overseeing the installation, maintenance, repair, and calibration of automation and measurement equipment.• Direct or perform field communications infrastructure and site security camera maintenance.• Provide technology reviews, end-user trainingcoaching on automation equipment (SCADARTUPLC's) and related software.• Interact with engineering, construction, and field operations personnel as required.• Be available for on-call troubleshooting as necessary.• All duties to be performed in accordance with Olympus Energy's Environmental, Health, and Safety Guidelines.Skills & Knowledge:Minimum Requirements:• Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts.• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and organizational skills.• Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines.• Demonstrate computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications. Able to learn company specific applications.• Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLC control systems (MicroLogix CompactLogix ControlLogix).• Advanced knowledge of Emerson RTUs (FloBoss 107 ROC800) and local HMI interfaces (Beijer Red Lion).• Working knowledge of gas and liquid measurement systems.• Proficient in the understanding of process flow diagrams, P&ID drawings, Cause & Effects, Control Narratives, and wiring diagrams.• Demonstrated working knowledge of instrumentation and controls principles, equipment, and systems.• Strong working knowledge of low-voltage electronics, electricity, and basic oil and gas principles.• Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and API RP500 in the selection, installation, and wiring of instrumentation and electrical equipment in hazardous areas.• Ability to coordinate and oversee the work of 3rd party contractors.Education & Work Experience Requirements:Minimum Requirements:• High School diploma or equivalent required.• Associates degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Instrumentation Technologies program or equivalent, documented work experience.• Five years upstream oil and gas production operations experience.• Valid driver's license.Preferred:• Bachelor's degree in an Electrical, Electronics, and Instrumentation Technologies program or equivalent.• Working knowledge of Ignition SCADA system software, including screen development, alarm configuration, Kepware tag creation, and system security and maintenance.Olympus is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
