Our Strategy and Innovation Team is looking for an experienced business analyst to play an instrumental role in driving the success of our firm's technology initiatives. This hands-on role involves comprehensive relationship management, complex problem-solving, and delivering valuable business solutions.The ideal candidate will display a proven track record of partnering with business groups, gaining a deep understanding of their processes, identifying ways in which technology can provide business benefit, and ultimately delivering holistic, impactful solutions to meet a variety of business challenges.The individual will function as the main interface between stakeholders and technical teams driving and managing the successful execution of key projects. The role requires the ability to mobilize cross-functional teams towards agreed upon goals and will be accountable reporting progress on their portfolio of initiatives on a continual basis. The candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, an inquisitive nature, a passion for excellent service, the ability to self-start and be resourceful, and a strong understanding of technology.Key Responsibilities:Strategy and Planning: Demonstrate a deep understanding of firm-wide processes and systems and the ability to gain an understanding of team-specific business processes, data needs, and system use. Work in close collaboration with the business to comprehend their strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and operational context to provide strategic analysis services. Ensure adherence to Agile best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the business analysis function.Requirements Gathering: Analyze business issues, processes, and systems thoroughly to identify areas for optimization. Work with business users to gather requirements, helping them to define needs, challenge assumptions and refine details. Prioritize requirements and produce effective documentation for stakeholders and developers that creates a common understanding of complex issues. Collaborate with IT teams to align business requirements with technical solutions. Lead integration and user acceptance testing, resolving issues pragmatically and promptly, and continually evaluate and adjust approved solutions to achieve desired outcomes.Project Delivery: Drive and manage the successful execution of key projects. In collaboration with internal Project Manager, create detailed project plans, requirements documentation, necessary training materials, support materials, and develop, execute, and continually improve test plans and processes to ensure successful delivery.Stakeholder Management: Build productive relationships with key business stakeholders, sponsors, technology colleagues, and technology vendors. Effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders and manage their expectations regarding project goals and deliverables.Data Analysis and Reporting: Prepare data-driven insights for senior management and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of Business Analyst experience within the financial sector.Solid technical background with understanding andor hands-on experience in software development, SDLC, Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.Experience working directly with external vendors as well as engineering teams and managing software development projects.Excellent internal client-facing communications and ability to listen and solicit feedback from stakeholders.Excellent written and verbal communications skills; ability to describe detailed problems with brevity and accuracy.Driven to deliver results on time, on budget, and to the very highest standards.Ability to deftly manage competing resources and priorities and handle multiple projects concurrently. The expected base salary for the role will generally be between $125,000 and $175,000 per year at the commencement of employment, but the final salary offered may be outside this range based on these reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, base salary is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses, alternative incentive packages and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual departmentteam performance, and market factors.
