At Garden, you won't just grow as an attorney - you'll help plant the seeds for a better innovation ecosystem.About the RoleAs an IP strategist, you will work on understanding our customers' problems and contribute to applying our platform for their use cases. We have a massive opportunity ahead of us, and breaking it down to actionable product features and franchises is important. You will work directly with the engineering team on productizing service based work for patent litigation that can be deployed to both external and in-house counsel. You will bring in business by staying on top of evolving case law and IP litigation matters that can affect our clients, and help turn them into coherent strategies or products for us to ship to our customers. You will be a sounding board to leadership on strategic matters around customer development, patent office relations, and customer success.ResponsibilitiesUnderstanding customer problems acutely from multiple perspectives (in-house, external counsel, inventor, etc)Obsession with customer successMaintaining relations with patent owners, funders, and top litigation firmsStaying on top of IP news around the worldContributing to the Garden product roadmapContribute to recruiting effortsIn-person, NYCQualificationsPatent licensing experience (10-15 years)Experience with patent litigation funding ecosystemJD from top IP programSTEM undergraduate backgroundNice to HaveIn-house experienceAI savvinessEntrepreneurial mindedComputer science experienceCompensationThe expected total cash compensation for this role is $250,000 - $400,000 with additional equity and benefits.
