In this role, our client is seeking to fill a Senior Technical Designer position responsible for executing the technical design process from development to final fit. Education: • Bachelor's degree in Fashion or equivalent experience Required Experience: • 7+ years' experience in technical design with intimatesapparel • Experience with participating or owned their own fittings • Must be able to write up fit comments & pattern corrections • Must have centric training • Must be proficient with Excel, Adobe Illustrator, and Flex PLM Required Soft Skills: • Flexible • Problem solver • Supportive • Ability to maintain composure in a stressful situation Additional Required Qualifications: • Must be local to the Manhattan, NY area and able to work onsite Senior Technical Designer Responsibilities: • Responsible for analyzing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications • Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities and cost specifications • Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendorsfactories for approvals and corrections • Makes appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure integrity of design approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price • Typically reports to Technical Services Manager.
