The Core Banking Business Analyst is responsible for evaluating and recommending configurations to the core banking system in order to ensure that business and regulatory requirements are met,  while optimizing operational efficiencyResponsibilities:Analyze the configurations of and data in the core banking system to ensure they meet business requirements and regulatory standards.Identify areas for improvement within existing banking processes and configurations, proposing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Serve as a point of contact for user inquiries related to system configurations, providing guidance and troubleshooting assistance.Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and changes to ensure clarity and compliance.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and other operations, to align system configurations with organizational goals.Address and resolve issues related to system configurations, minimizing downtime and improving overall system reliabilityEnsure testing of new configurations, upgrades, or system changes to ensure they function correctly and meet user needs.Ensure preventive measures are carried out to fully comply with current rules, regulations and internal policies relating to risks pertaining to BSA, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and other AML related issueTo identify, evaluate, monitor and make any recommendation deemed necessary to their respective Risk Management Committee in order to assess, reduce, eliminate or control any current or prospective risks to earnings or capital arising from violations of, or nonconformance with, laws, rules regulations, prescribed practices, internal policies and procedures or ethical standards. Minimum Education andor Certifications Requirements:Bachelor's degree in finance, banking or business administration required Associates in Arts in finance, banking or business administration, and 5 years of relevant experience in this fieldBanking courses, seminars, and formal credit education from an accredited school desirableMinimum Work Experience Requirements:2+ years of experience in a similar role in the banking industry.Previous experience using IBS Insight preferredTechnical andor Other Essential Knowledge:Proficient using IBS InsightProven ability to make configuration assessments based on business needsApplied knowledge of banking productsAbility to understand database managementProficient using the Microsoft Office Product Suite including, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPointFunctional Skills and Knowledge Requirements:Must be a team player, have the ability to work under pressure, multitask, and conduct business in a professional manner. Must be able to prioritize work and effectively manage time and change. Must possess effective business communications and analytical skills.
