Our client, a well-known retail apparel company, is looking for a Merchant for Men's Tops to join their team for a 6 month contract in San Francisco, CA. This position requires working onsite 3 days a week.Responsibilities:Develop a product assortment strategy by analyzing internal and competitor data, ensuring global and local market needs are met.Collaborate on lifecycle strategies for products, including launching, scaling, and maximizing their performance.Work with the Senior Merchant to build a consumer-driven global product vision and monitor competitor trends.Align with regional teams to understand local markets and ensure global strategies are well-executed.Present updates in business review meetings and provide insights to design and product development teams.Create consistent global product orders that reflect brand priorities and consider regional input.Oversee product data accuracy in systems and assist with processes when needed.Requirements:Bachelor's degree (preferred) and 3-5 years of merchandising experience in apparel.Knowledge of global merchandising trends, garment design, and product costs.Ability to identify market opportunities and create winning product ideas.Experience with PLM systems and strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.Capable of mentoring and training team members.If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.The Solomon Page DistinctionSolomon Page offers a comprehensive benefit program for hourly employees.
