Beacon Hill | Immigration Paralegal (contract to hire)

Beacon Hill Legal's client, a global law firm, located in Florham Park, New Jersey is seeking an Immigration Paralegal for a hybrid contract assignment, with the potential for extension. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience with preparing applications for immigration related matters such as PERM, H-1B, L, and E-12 filings). The candidate hired must commute to their office in Florham Park, NJ 3x a week and be flexible to work overtime as needed. Duties & Responsibilities:Prepares petitionsapplications for various immigration-related matters (PERM, I-140, CP, AOS, Naturalization, H-1B, L, E-12, TN, O-1, J, EB-5)Research law, procedures and keeps track of immigration law updatesManages various administrative duties; maintains case management database, directs client contact-- phone calls, emails, and postal correspondenceContacts USCIS and U.S. consulateembassies, schedules appointment interviewsAssists in client intakes, prepares client mailings and submissions to various immigration officesLiaises with government agencies (DOL, USCIS, NVC) to troubleshoot issues as necessary Qualifications & Prior Experience: Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal certification or equivalent experience required3+ years business immigration experience within a law firm with demonstrated knowledge of complex issues within the Immigration practice areaExperience in preparing immigrant and non-immigrant petitionsComputer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OutlookFamiliar with immigration case management systems (INSZoom)Interested candidates can email a Word version of their resume for consideration.
