**THIS POSITION IS BEING RECRUITED FOR INTERNALLY - RECRUITERSAGENCIES PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT****Position is full time onsite - no remote work**The Level II Penetrant Inspector is responsible for performing nondestructive testing (NDT) using liquid penetrant inspection (LPI) methods in accordance with applicable industry standards, company procedures, and customer specifications. This role requires interpreting results, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining high-quality standards in detecting surface discontinuities in materials and finished product.The statements included in this description are intended to reflect in general the duties & responsibilities of the classification & are not to be interpreted as being all-inclusive.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESConduct liquid penetrant inspections (LPI) on metal materials, forgings, and finished product in compliance with ASNT, ASTM, andor other industry terpret and evaluate indications to determine if they meet applicable specifications and acceptance criteria.Document inspection results accurately and certify product according to acceptance criteria.Maintain detailed records of tests and findings by following all appropriate company and customer procedures.Calibrate and maintain penetrant equipment including daily checks to ensure reliable operation and compliance with regulations including NADCAP and customer requirements.Review and apply procedures, techniques, and blueprints requirements for inspections.Follow safety and quality protocols, ensuring work is performed in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.Provide guidance and training to Level I Penetrant Inspectors, as needed.Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance personnel, and other stakeholders to address inspection findings.Participate in audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for inspection processes.QUALIFICATIONSCertification as a Level II Penetrant Inspector in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410, or equivalent standards.High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is preferred.Minimum 5 years working experience as a Level II liquid penetrant inspector, experience in aerospace forgingscastings is preferred.Familiarity with high nickel, titanium, andor steel alloys preferred.Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASTM E 1444, ASTM E 1417, NAS 410).Strong attention to detail and ability to identify minute surface defects.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations related to penetrant inspection processes.PREFERRED SKILLSExperience with other NDT methods (e.g., ultrasonic, magnetic particle inspection).Proficiency in computer-based documentation and reporting tools.Familiarity with advanced penetrant systems or automation.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to lift and carry inspection equipment (up to 50 lbs).Comfortable working in a manufacturing facility.Ability to stand, kneel, or crouch for extended periods during inspections.
