Job Title: Group Program ManagerPMOLocation: New York City, NY (with occasional travel to Iselin, NJ)Experience Level: 10-15 yearsJob Description:We are seeking a dynamic and driven Group Program ManagerPMO Leader to join our client based in New York City. This role requires a highly motivated individual with strong leadership capabilities, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively across internal and external stakeholders. We are committed to fostering diversity and strongly encourage local, qualified candidates to apply.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:Lead and manage the PMO function, driving project governance, strategic alignment, and successful execution of key initiatives.Partner closely with the CIO to align IT strategies with business goals and ensure seamless execution of IT-related projects.Stakeholder Collaboration:Act as a liaison between senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.Work hand-in-hand with senior executives to identify project priorities, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.Program and Project Oversight:Oversee the delivery of large-scale programs and initiatives, ensuring they are on time, within scope, and budget.Implement and maintain PMO processes, standards, and tools to drive efficiency and consistency.Financial Management:Develop, manage, and track project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.Perform financial projections, forecast project costs, and align budgets with organizational objectives.Monitor financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and mitigate financial risks across the project portfolio.Vendor Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and partners.Negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance, and ensure timely delivery of services within agreed budgets.Conduct regular vendor evaluations to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.Team Management:Lead, mentor, and develop project managers and team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team culture.Promote accountability and ensure all team members adhere to established standards and processes.Operational Excellence:Monitor and report on project portfolio performance, risks, and issues to the senior leadership team.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and organizational efficiency.Qualifications and Experience:Experience: 10-15 years in project management, program management, or PMO leadership roles, preferably in technology or enterprise-level organizations.Leadership: Proven ability to manage senior leadership teams and work collaboratively with C-level executives.Financial Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in budget management, financial forecasting, and cost optimization.Vendor Expertise: Proven experience in managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and monitoring performance.Stakeholder Management: Exceptional skills in managing cross-functional internal and external stakeholders.Diversity Focus: Local candidates and professionals are highly preferred to promote a diverse and inclusive workforce.Location Flexibility: Based out of NYC, with occasional visits to the Iselin, NJ office.Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with IT and digital transformation initiatives is a strong plus.Project Management Skills: Expertise in implementing PMO frameworks, methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), and tools.Preferred Attributes:Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and inspire teams.Results-oriented and capable of driving change in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.Analytical and detail-oriented, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
