As the initial point of contact for clients, you will guide them through menu planning, event design, and contract finalization. Business development involves expanding our network of venues, fostering client loyalty, and acquiring new clientele.Requirements:Friendly and enthusiastic demeanorCommunicate well: write professional and efficient emails to co-workers, clients, vendors; effectively present information one-on-one and in small groups; have a strong command of the English language, in both written and verbal formAt least 2 years' experience in catering and event SALES or related fields (eg, fine dining, winery, hotel & spa)Demonstrated solid food knowledge and understanding of seasonalityUnderstand trends in food, design, décorExcellent attention to detailWorking knowledge of Mac-based computer software (Word, Excel, Google Docs)Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle recordYou must have a reliable means of transportation.Have a flexible schedule that will accommodate some evening and weekend workDuties and Responsibilities: Client Acquisition and Sales:Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, cold-calling, and referrals.Conduct sales presentations to understand client needs and showcase services.Prepare and present customized proposals, quotes, and contracts.Client Consultation and Planning:Meet with clients to discuss event needs, preferences, and budget.Develop event concepts, themes, and menus.Create and present detailed proposals, timelines, and cost estimates.Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.Serve as the primary point of contact, addressing inquiries and concerns.Provide personalized service to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.Menu Planning and Execution:Collaborate with the Culinary Team to design customized menus.Ensure high standards in food presentation and service quality.Address dietary restrictions and special requests.Event Planning Support:Coordinate with Production and Culinary Teams to meet client municate client needs and ensure flawless execution.Attend events as needed to oversee setup and execution.Sales Reporting and Analysis:Track and report sales activities and client interactions.Analyze sales data to identify trends and improve strategies.Participate in meetings to share insights and collaborate.Marketing and Promotion:Collaborate with the Marketing Team to develop promotional strategies.Represent the company at industry events and marketing events.Support social media engagement and promotion.Administrative and Contract Management:Maintain accurate records of client interactions and event details.Ensure timely signing of contracts and receipt of deposits.Additional Responsibilities:Coordinate and attend tastings and walk-throughs.Secure signed contracts and retainers; hand off events to the Event Producer.Send thank-you notes post-event.
