OverviewWe are hiring an experienced Event Coordinator for a client in Downtown Columbia, SC. As an Event Coordinator, you will play a vital role in planning and executing events and providing administrative support to the chief public information officer. You will also be responsible for overseeing the front desk, greeting visitors, and answering incoming phone calls.ResponsibilitiesPlan and coordinate all aspects of events from conception to execution.Collaborate with team members to understand their event objectives and requirements.Manage event logistics including venue selection, catering, and vendor coordination.Ensure events run smoothly by overseeing setup, execution, and breakdown processes.Monitor budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented.Develop marketing materials to promote events effectively.Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after events to ensure client satisfaction.Oversee front desk area which includes greeting visitors and answering incoming phone calls.QualificationsProven experience in event planning or coordination within a professional setting.Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and vendors.Background in hospitality or customer service is highly desirable.Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.BenefitsLong-term contract with potential to go permanent with client$18 hourly pay rateBasic information while under contract
