Position Summary:JR Cigar is seeking a detail-oriented HR Coordinator to support our Human Resources operations with a primary focus on payroll processing and benefits administration. Based in Whippany, NJ, this hybrid role offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to grow their HR skill set. Reporting directly to the Sr. HR Director and working closely with the HRISPayroll Manager in Florida, the HR Coordinator will ensure accurate payroll execution and benefits administration"”including premium billing"”and provide general HR administrative support. This role is integral in maintaining a positive employee experience through timely and effective HR service delivery.Key Responsibilities:Payroll Processing: Assist with end-to-end payroll tasks to ensure timely and accurate compensation, compliance with company policies and regulations, and proper record-keeping.Benefits Administration: Support the administration of employee benefits, including enrollments, terminations, premium billing, and responding to employee inquiries.HRIS Maintenance: Enter and update employee data in ADP to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and proper documentation.Collaboration: Work closely with the Florida-based HRISPayroll Manager to address system updates, troubleshoot payroll issues, and implement process improvements.Administrative Support: Manage HR documentation, files, and records; prepare HR-related reports; support onboarding processes; and assist with special projects as assigned.Employee Relations Support: Provide front-line support for payroll and benefits inquiries, working in partnership with the HR Generalist and Sr. HR Director to promote a positive employee experience.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.0-2 years of experience in HR, payroll, or benefits administration.Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP) and benefits premium billing is highly desirable.Strong attention to detail, organizational, and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively in a hybrid environment and adapt to evolving HR processes.Required Skills:Payroll Expertise: Basic understanding of payroll processes and regulations.Benefits Administration: Knowledge of benefit plans, enrollment processes, and premium billing is a plus.HRIS Proficiency: Experience using HRIS software for data entry and reporting (ADP preferred).Microsoft Products: A good foundational knowledge of Microsoft tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Visio, and strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis, reporting, and record-keeping.Attention to Detail: Maintaining accurate records and ensuring data integrity.Problem-solving: Skilled at identifying issues, finding solutions, and improving processes.
