The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patent and trademark docketing, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role offers competitive salary and benefits, along with the opportunity to grow in an excellent professional environment.Key Responsibilities, but not limited to: Review and manage incoming emails, physical mail, and faxes related to patent and trademark matters, ensuring deadlines and key information are properly docketed within the firm's IP docketing system. Proactively monitor and manage deadlines to ensure timely compliance.Download electronic correspondence from the USPTO, WIPO, and foreign patent offices, filing them into the firm's document management system (NetDocuments).Update docket entries based on instructions from attorneys, paralegals, administrative assistants, and correspondence with clients and foreign associates.Circulate correspondence from the USPTO, WIPO, and foreign patenttrademark offices to the appropriate attorneys.Review and process invoices, entering necessary details into the firm's billing system (Corpay) to facilitate accurate client billing.Reconcile USPTO and WIPO deposit accounts and generate monthly reports.Prepare docket reports, conduct searches, and address internal inquiries as needed.Open and close matters in the docketing system, assisting with client intake and matter management processes.Handle new client transfers, bulk transfers from existing clients, attorney changes, and updates in client and matter numbers.Ensure foreign associate statements are received and reviewed.Maintain and update the IP docketing system, including software updates and legal rule changes, and communicate issues with attorneys and practice group leaders as needed.Perform regular system integrity checks and investigate transferred files.Stay informed on updates in foreign trademarkpatent laws to ensure compliance.Provide back-up support to the docketing team, IP assistants, and other legal staff as needed.Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.Required QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience in IP prehensive knowledge of domestic and foreign patent and trademark prosecution, including US and international processes and procedures.Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex rules and instructions.Exceptional attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.Solid understanding of docketing terminology, best practices, and relevant laws.Ability to determine priority dates, calculate deadlines, and ensure accuracy in docketing databases.Familiarity with patent and trademark office websites (USPTO, WIPO) and experience with docketing software.Proficient computer skills with the ability to manage and analyze data efficiently.
