Project ManagementThe Construction Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves managing project timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful delivery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction management, possess strong leadership abilities, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesLead the development of project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to define project objectives and ensure alignment with client needs.Ensure that all project requirements, specifications, and quality standards are met.Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets, ensuring that costs remain within approved limits.Review and approve invoices from subcontractors and vendors, addressing any discrepancies as needed.Identify and mitigate financial risks, providing recommendations for cost control and optimization.Develop detailed project timelines and ensure projects stay on schedule.Allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, efficiently to meet project deadlines.Track and manage the progress of construction activities, resolving delays or obstacles as they arise.Supervise and lead project teams, including internal staff, subcontractors, and consultants.Hold regular project meetings to review progress, address issues, and update project documentation.Provide guidance and support to junior project managers or project coordinators, as needed.Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.Resolve conflicts and manage unforeseen issues, such as design changes, budget overruns, or safety concerns.Ensure that the project complies with all regulatory requirements and local codes.Oversee quality assurance and control efforts to ensure that work meets or exceeds required standards.Perform site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety practices.Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and cost requirements.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and external partners throughout the project lifecycle.Provide regular project updates to clients, ensuring that they are informed of progress, changes, or challenges.Address client concerns and feedback promptly and professionally.Maintain accurate records of all project-related documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and meeting minutes.Prepare and submit progress reports, cost reports, and other required documentation to senior management and clients.Ensure all project documentation is compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements.Enforce safety standards and best practices on all job sites.Work with the safety team to conduct site inspections and ensure all safety protocols are vestigate accidents and implement corrective actions as necessary.RequirementsRecent Glass and Glazing experience required.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or LEED accreditation are a plus.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction project management, with proven experience managing complex, large-scale projects.Strong background in [specific construction type"”e.g., commercial, residential, industrial] is preferred.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, or similar tools).Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and regulations.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial management in construction projects.About Scott-HumphreyWe are a national recruitment practice specializing in Construction, Real Estate, Legal, PharmaMed Device, Digital Marketing, Creative, & Shared Services recruitment.
