Coordinator, Special Projects The Conference of Presidents advocates on behalf of the Jewish community around the world and is a key point of contact for communal, national and world leaders. The Coordinator of Special Projects will play a key role on our policy and programming teams. This position requires excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills and the ability to research and synthesize information, to write and edit quickly and concisely. We seek candidates with political acumen and deep familiarity with US-Israel relations, outstanding professionalism, independent judgment, and discretion who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy. We seek someone who can deftly multi-task and work simultaneously on a variety of projects. This position offers a great opportunity to interact with Jewish communal leaders representing diverse constituencies, and to deepen one's understanding of Middle East issues and vital Jewish communal concerns. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer. Primary Roles & Responsibilities:· Conducting research on all matters of concern to the Conference of Presidents, including current events, studies, and thought pieces related to COP activity.· Consistently monitoring news sites and social media for news relevant to the Conference of Presidents· Drafting and editing relevant grant proposals, speeches, editorial content, and press statements· Draft and edit, format and disseminate communications, including - social media content, internal and external email blasts, statements and announcements.· Coordinate and oversee logistics for meetings and events, in-person and online, from their planning, development to execution.· Provide administrative support for office management functions including ordering supplies, managing calendar, and correspondence. · Manage website updates and work with webmaster. · Scheduling meetings of relevant COP committees, working groups, and task forces· Efficiently communicating with members and leaders of these committees about upcoming events, ongoing projects, and completed items.Contribute to development and implementation of strategic initiatives to counter antisemitism, including adoption of IHRA definition, and strengthen the US-Israel relationship· Brainstorming and facilitating external speaker involvement in COP events, including Zoom sessions, in-person events related to antisemitism, and the COP's annual Mission to IsraelContribute to development and implementation of strategic initiatives to counter antisemitism, including adoption of IHRA definition, and strengthen the US-Israel relationshipMonitor legislation and policy initiatives that relate to antisemitism on local and state levels · Coordinating Conference representation at UNGA and similar diplomatic meetings and create briefing materials for International travel and meetings with diplomats· Provide administrative support for internal committees and meetings Qualifications and Background: · Bachelor's degree is required.· 2-5 years' work experience in Jewish community relations, community organizing, politics, government, or advocacy (Campus leadership experience counts)· Background knowledge of current events in Israel and the Middle East· Familiarity with Jewish community organizations and priorities· A track record as a self-starter who pursues excellence, with the maturity and self-discipline to work independently and in collaboration with a team· An excitement for learning new skills in a fast-paced organization· Enjoy working within a small entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven and results oriented· Commitment to advancing the Conference of Presidents mission· Appreciation for and experience navigating diversity within Jewish life· Understanding that there will be some administrative work, in addition to more substantial projects · Proficiency with EveryAction non-profit software or similar CRM.· Excellent technical skills "” experience with andor aptitude for mastering Google Suite, MS Office Suite.· Familiarity with html coding and website maintenance. · Exceptional organizational and time-management skills and a detail-oriented approach with meticulous record keeping abilities.· Ability to work under pressure, take initiative, problem-solve, and be proactive.· Strong writing skills to draft correspondence, proposals, and reports· Ability to effectively monitor and manage several projects and priorities at all times and shift gears when priorities change in real time· Ability to interface with colleagues, donors, community partners with warmth, a professional demeanor, and to communicate with clarity· High-level research skills and effective writing skills, including in short time frames· Proven ability to assimilate information gathered through research and consultations, and to apply that information across multiple organizational programs and initiatives with strategic partners· Track record in managing competing organizational priorities and working effectively under pressure of extremely short deadlines Benefits: Paid vacation and sick leave, medical, dental, vision and retirement plans, early closing for Shabbat and Jewish holidays Salary range: $ 65,000-85,000 About the Conference of Presidents The proven and effective voice of organized American Jewry for more than half a century, the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations advances the interests of the American Jewish community, sustains broad-based support for Israel and addresses the critical concerns facing world Jewry.
