Berliner Cohen, LLP is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to work alongside a team of diverse professionals while assisting attorneys in handling all aspects of litigation. The qualified candidate will assist attorneys in managing evidence, answering interrogatories, and preparing motions, complaints, briefs, and other legal documents; interviewing clients and witnesses for hearings, deposition, and trial; be familiar with e-discovery and coordinating with outside vendors and contractors to perform discovery obligations, be versed in excel and data creation and perform all types of legal support work assigned as permitted by the rules of the California State Bar.Candidates should possess a strong academic background, a proven track record of strong performance and measurable results, and exceptional communication, analytical, and writing skills. They must also be able to be creative thinkers and problem solvers and work independently and with a team.Education Requirements: Must possess a Paralegal certificate or a degree in paralegal studies.Preferred: Bachelor's degree and a Paralegal Certificate from American Bar Association (ABA) approved program.Experience Requirements: Minimum of five year's experience working as a paralegal in a civil litigation law firm. Must have experience in ESI Discovery and Proficient in Excel.Skills: Ability to work independently, see tasks through fruition, excellent attention to detail, and familiarity with electronic discovery platforms and Excel databases.This position is not hybrid or remote.
