Addison Group | Network Engineer

As network administrator you will be working with the senior network engineers on network designs, solution implementation, and operational support of a global network. Your knowledge of switching, routing, wireless technologies, and other network concepts will be critical to designing highly available, cost-effective, and scalable solutions that meet strategic goals. one of your top priorities will be to help with the design and implementation of new technologies to improve performance, reliability, and security. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of on-prem networks devices including router, firewalls, switches and WAPs.This position requires to be on site (Haslet, TX) at least 3 days a week.Responsibilities:Maintain and improve our network and connectivity, focusing on performance and reliabilityAbility to troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain wireless networkBuild proper logging and tracking of error logs for security and complianceTroubleshoot and resolve network issues using appropriate toolsAnalyze business requirements to develop technical network solutionsProvide network technical support and guidance to usersMaintain all network internet circuits and network vendor relationshipsInstalling, configuring, and maintaining networking gearWork with security team to harden corporate network security and quickly close vulnerabilities foundDocument changes and procedures, including the network diagramsBe a part of the 24x7 emergency on-call and work nights and weekends during maintenance periods and service outagesQualifications:7+ years of strong working experience in a multi-site corporate environmentCCNA Certification or equivalent experienceStrong knowledge of dynamic routing, switching, and wireless technologiesStrong knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and one other vendor3+ years of experience with large enterprise level LAN, WAN and WLAN infrastructureGood understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 conceptsKnowledge of setting up network monitoring and packet capture toolsStrong project management skillsExcellent communication skillsAbility to work flexible hours and support night or weekend work as neededNice to haves:· Experience setting up and troubleshooting VPN· Windows and Linux System Administration Experience· Experience working in multi cloud environments (Office 365, AWS, Azure, etc...)· Experience with Active Directory· Experience with load balancing concepts and methods· Scripting skills
