We are a private family-owned group of companies headquartered in Southern California, specializing in food and packaging equipment and service. Baseline expectations include strong industrial processing knowledge, a basic degree of comfort when taking a hands-on approach to food processing, strong follow-up skills, and the ability to travel multiple times per month [while also managing introductions and meetings via video conference remotely]. The ideal salesperson would possess the skillset needed to exercise a high degree of autonomy while utilizing their time to completely own their region, expanding upon existing relationships and seeking new business opportunities. We believe in the power of in-person meetings, so there is an expectation that you will be comfortable building and preparing presentations, comprehensively understanding, discussing industrial food scale-up and execution. We invest an extensive investment of on-boarding to ensure full understanding of the depth of our portfolio and how best to discuss, present, and sell to customers. This position requires an individual that can think outside the box to meet a customer's needs. Our sales strategy is built upon remaining nimble and approaching every project with a fresh set of eyes and an open mentality.We will provide 2 - 4 weeks of training for the position, and you will be accompanied by another associate who can familiarize you with our policies, products, and procedures in assisting our customers. You will need computer skills, including basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as the ability to manage projects from inception to launch.Strong leadership skills are important in this position to instill confidence in our customers that they will have support and comprehensive management in projects and products that we offer. We are a strategic partner from start to finish.Essential Responsibilities:Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships with independent and large-scale processors and restaurant groups.Drive the sale of the Company's products and services by educating customers on our vast array of capabilities, food safety standards, and service support.Boost sales by performing cost benefit and needs analysis presentations for customers and prospects which highlight solutions that utilize the Company's products and services.Implementing innovative sales initiatives to achieve the sales goals and customer satisfaction objectives of the Company.Generate and pursue sales leads as well as potential client relationships using cold calling techniques, business directories, referrals, onsite field visits, etc.Develop and execute marketing strategies to compete with other individuals andor companies who sell similar products and services.Meet or exceed established sales quotas while maintaining accepted delinquencyloss levels on the portfolio.Partner with the internal departments, when necessary, to maximize sales and deal flow.Attend meetings, sales events, and training seminars to keep abreast of the latest industry developments.Significant travel within an assigned geographical area of, but not limited to California, or hosting Tradeshow cities.Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:3+ years of sales management and representative experience in the sales industry. Industrial Food Sales preferred.A strong background in outside sales.Demonstrated familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management.Ability and motivation to travel to multiple sales locations and planstrategize sales for an assigned geographic region.Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to persuade and influence others.Ability to interact with others in a professional, tactful, and respectable manner.Openness to feedback and professional growth opportunities.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, independent, work environment, as well as part of a team.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and familiarity with CRM practices.BSBA degree or equivalent, preferably Meat Science Food Science Packaging
